Downtown St. Pete’s Museum of Fine Arts will host the first solo museum exhibition of multidisciplinary artist Gio Swaby, whose work explores the intersections of Blackness and womanhood. Swaby’s multi-layered portraits are transfixing revelations on the well trodden genre. The artist implements a range of textile-based techniques in her works.
